What is eKYC?

eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) is digital identity verification using Aadhaar. It ensures that only genuine beneficiaries use the Ayushman Card for treatment.

Prevents Fraud
Only real beneficiaries use the card
Quick Process
Done in 5-10 minutes
One-Time Setup
Verify once, use anytime
Method 1: Biometric eKYC (Fingerprint)
1

Visit CSC center or empanelled hospital with your Aadhaar

2

Operator enters your 12-digit Aadhaar number

3

Place your finger on biometric scanner

4

System matches fingerprint with Aadhaar database

eKYC complete! Card activated.

✅ Best for: Everyone | 🔐 Most secure | 📍 At CSC/hospital only
Method 2: OTP-Based eKYC
1

Access via beneficiary.nha.gov.in or Ayushman app

2

Enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

3

Receive 6-digit OTP on your phone

4

Enter OTP within 10 minutes

eKYC complete! Card verified.

✅ Best for: From home | 📱 Needs: Active Aadhaar-linked SIM
Method 3: Iris Scan eKYC

If fingerprint fails repeatedly (common for laborers, elderly), iris scan is the alternative:

Available at select CSC centers and hospitals with iris scanners
Higher success rate than fingerprint for elderly and manual workers
Same process – just look into the iris scanner instead of fingerprint pad

eKYC Troubleshooting

Fingerprint not matching

Clean fingers, try different finger, use OTP method, or try iris scan

OTP not received

Check if mobile number is linked to Aadhaar, ensure network signal, wait 2 minutes, retry

Aadhaar not linked

Visit nearest Aadhaar enrollment center to link your mobile number first

Server timeout

Try again after 15-30 minutes, or visit during off-peak hours (morning)
